Start a Charging Session
- Start a charging session by clicking the Start button. This opens the Start Charging Session screen, where you can see the charging price, any additional fees involved, and the payment method that will be used to pay for the charging cost.
- Before starting the session (via the Start Charging button), you can change the payment method for the session. In the example screenshot, the selected payment method is a Partner’s corporate billing.
- When you click the Change button, the Payment Methods screen opens, displaying all available payment methods from which you can select an alternative.
- When starting a charging session with a registered RFID card, plug the cable in the EV and swipe the RFID card at the charge point’s card reader.
- The Charging icon will display in the bottom menu and the charging progress is shown on the screen.
- Charging will continue even if you close the app after starting the session. If the session enters IDLE FEE, you will receive a push notification on your mobile phone.
- The Session Summary screen displays after the end of the session and the selected payment method is billed for the session cost.
- If payment fails (e.g., insufficient funds), you’ll be asked to resolve it before starting your next session.
- To manually pay for an unpaid session, add funds to your payment method, add a new payment method, click View Unpaid Session button, then click the Pay Now button.
Note: You may be charged a connection fee if the wrong cable is plugged in and the session fails.
